The Citizens’ Constitutional Forum (CCF) announces that its board of directors has appointed Louchrisha Hussain as Chief Executive Officer effectively immediately. Hussain previously held the position of programme manager for the organisation.

CCF board chairperson Tessa Mackenzie believes there is no better person to lead the CCF in its duty to promote and protect human rights in this country. “Louchrisha is clearly the right person to lead CCF and she has the unanimous support of our board,” said Mackenzie.

“The board was fortunate to have so many-well qualified applicants for the position that was advertised in the media, and with a thoughtful approach to our donors, partners and employees expected and deserved.”

“Louchrisha has been a proven leader for the organisation since joining in 2015 and has shown good vision and ability to bring people to work together in the different program areas within the organisation. We are content that we’ve appointed a strong person to lead the CCF going forward,” added Mackenzie.

Since joining CCF, Hussain has progressed through the organisation as project support officer, to eventually being promoted as programme manager where she carefully articulated CCFs program strategy and objectives that are aligned to the organisation’s vision and mission.

Hussain who graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Political Science from Brigham Young University – Hawaii has extensive experience in similar roles with other local NGO’s and has been in the civil society sector for 7 years. She looks forward to taking CCF into its next chapter.

“I am honored to be appointed to this new role. It is indeed a privilege to lead a young and dynamic team that has a passion for educating and promoting human rights in Fiji,” said Hussain.

“We are a team led by purpose – to make a positive change in Fiji communities that we work with. I intend to do my best to in helping our communities understand their basic fundamental human rights.”
