Occupation: Chairman at the District Advisory Council in Naitasiri
What were some of the things you have learned from attending the first workshop?
- I learned a lot of things like good governance and how to practice our basic human rights, women rights, children rights and also multicultural rights which we all should abide by the law and regulations.
- To have more awareness
- Since I have the advantage of going to communities I pass on whatever I have learned from the workshop conducted by CCF and share it with the people in that community
I believe that it is important for people to attend and take advantage of this workshop, we need to get as much information as we can to know things that will benefit us. Mr. Prem
Occupation: Self employed
What were some of the things you have learned from attending the first workshop?
- From this workshop I have learnt to respect other people’s rights especially  when I see advertisements on TV about LGTBIQ, I quickly think of the workshop and think about equal rights where we should not discriminate
- The Constitutional booklet that was issued to us on the first workshop has not only helped me understand some thing’s about the constitution but my son too, who is a form 4 student. He now takes it to school and shares it with his friends. I have one recommendation if we could also have a Hindi version of the booklet.
The workshop has taught me on how to behave in respecting others especially their rights no matter their race we are all equal. Ms. Calia
